A few minutes easy walk and you are at Brockenhurst railway station - a 90-minute journey to London Waterloo, 25 minutes to Southampton International Airport or a 10-minute ride to the seaside town of Lymington. Walk 10 minutes into the village centre, meeting ponies and donkeys along the way, there is an array of interesting shops and cafes. Brockenhurst is very fortunate to have some wonderful eateries including The Huntsman, Britannia Thai, Albero a lovely Italian restaurant and the award-winning The Pig on the outskirts of the village. The village is surrounded by forest land meaning that walkers and cyclists will find Brockenhurst the ideal base from which to explore. Just a short drive away is Rhinefield Ornamental Drive which is a must see with some beautiful Canadian Redwoods and ancient oaks to see along the way. Finishing in Bolderwood is the deer sanctuary where deer are often seen and fed once a day during the summer months. Just a 15-minute drive to the coastal Georgian town of Lymington where there are further shops, pubs and restaurants for your entertainment as well the Town Quay and marinas. It is possible to catch a ferry from Lymington to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight for another excellent day out.
