Talbot Cottage is a pretty semi-detached cottage sleeping up to six adults and two children in 3 bedrooms. Super family-friendly, the cottage has been thoughtfully equipped with all that a young family would need during their stay enabling everyone to relax and enjoy their holiday, including little ones. The cosy lounge with its comfy sofas is a perfect place for the whole family to kick back and cosy up to enjoy a film together. The open plan kitchen-diner is a great sociable space, with comfortable dining chairs and bar stools to perch on during meal times. French doors lead out onto the garden, with seating for grown-ups and children alike, a swing set and plenty of outdoor games. Twinkly fairy lights adorn the planting for an atmospheric evening barbecue and entertaining space. The loft space has been converted to create a flexible room that can be used as additional breakout space for kids. From the cottage you can take a short stroll to the cobbled quay which leads down to the waters edge for a spot of crabbing and watch the local fishing boats offload their daily catch. Lymington has an array of independent shops, cafes and eateries, and the ancient charter market lines the High Street each Saturday. The famous Lymington sea water baths, with inflatable course and kayak/paddle board hire, is also close by and for a longer walk or cycle continue along the sea wall and enjoy the views across the Solent towards the Isle of Wight. For an exciting day out, take the train from Lymington Town to Lymington Pier and board a ferry to the Isle of Wight! For a change of scenery the beautiful New Forest National Park is within a 10 minute drive where you will have access to miles of heathland to explore - enjoy walking, cycling or horse riding as you spot the ponies, cows and donkeys roaming free. Please note there is a double sofa bed in the loft room that can be made up to sleep 2 children if required - call us for more details.
